PAPER FLOWER (Zinnia elegans Jacq)
The Zinnia genus, belonging to the Asteraceae family, is comprised of species grown worldwide for their ornamental role. Such species are very popular especially in North America, the origin of the genus, the center of its diversity being placed in Mexico. Zinnia elegans (syn. Z. Violacea), also known as elegant or common zinnia, is the most known and cultivated plant of this genus and was introduced in Europe around 1790, when it started gaining popularity as a garden plant (Burlec et al., 2019).

Habitus : shrubs; height of 10-120cm. Stem diameter <2cm; cylindrical rod shape; green stem color; small spiked rod surface. Petiole length 30; the color of the green leaf stalk; flat leaf base; flat leaf edge; tapered leaf tips; top surface color of green leaves, bottom surface color of pale green leaves; Strengthening pinnate leaves. Position of the flower on the plant at the tip; Pink flower color.
